Anti-hypertensives

Anti-hypertensive: lowers high blood pressure

Anti-hypertensive/Hypotensives are herbs that lower blood pressure by decreasing elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure to normal levels. These herbs act on many different levels to decrease blood pressure: act as a diuretic, antispasmodic, or heart tonic. They also support healthy blood vessels. Some herbs have specific physiologic activities such as calcium channel-blocking activity to lower blood pressure.
